Quasi-mandate Contract

A contract type where payment is made for professional services rendered with duty of care, rather than a guarantee of a finished deliverable.

A Quasi-mandate Contract (Jun-winin) differs from a fixed-price contract in that it does not guarantee the completion of a specific deliverable. Instead, compensation is provided for the professional expertise and due care exercised by the engineer during the service period.

It is the most recommended contract format for agile development, ongoing maintenance, and AI tuning where requirements evolve continuously, preventing friction over scope changes.
